Is there a monthly fee?
No. You top up your wallet and each SMS is taken from your balance when it's sent. Nothing is charged while you're not sending.
Does my balance expire?
No, not while your account is active. Top-ups can't be refunded as cash except where the law requires it, so top up what you expect to use.
What is one SMS?
Up to 160 plain characters, or 70 if the message has emoji, ₵ or other special characters. Longer messages are sent in parts, and each part is charged as one SMS.
Am I charged for failed messages?
Messages Hova couldn't hand to the network are refunded to your wallet automatically. Once the network accepts a message it is charged, as with every SMS provider, because the network charges Hova.
Is VAT included?
Prices on this page are before VAT, NHIL and GETFund levy (20% in total). Your monthly invoice shows them separately.
How do I get the healthcare rate?
Apply from your dashboard with your HeFRA licence number and top up at least GH₵1,120. Once approved, usually within one working day, your whole balance sends at GH₵0.028.
